Big Journey's Begin
With Small Steps

Welcome friends and family!
We are so glad that you are here!

At Bakersfield Central you will find a community of believers that are passionate about family, friendships, and finding our calling. We are a family, and a place to call home. It’s a place to get help, healing, and hope. Wherever you may be in your spiritual journey, you are welcome here, just as you are. Walk with us awhile on our journey. Whether or not you decide to stay, we look forward to welcoming you!

We know it can be somewhat intimidating entering into a new environment, but we are glad you are interested in visiting our church. To help you get to know us and give you a glimpse at what you can expect, we have answered some general questions about our church and what we do.

What time is your worship service?

Every Saturday at 10:50a.m.

Do you have a Bible study time?

Every Saturday at 9:45 a.m.

What should I expect?

Our worship service lasts about 90 minutes. Our service includes singing, hearing testimonies, prayer, and a gospel-centered message from the Bible. The music is most often a mix of hymns and modern worship songs. On the second and fourth Saturdays of the month, we have a vegetarian meal after the service that everyone is invited to. You should definitely stay and hang out.

Is there any programs for my kids?

Yes!  Your kids will experience safe, Christ-centered lessons and activities where the Bible is taught in a creative and relevant way.  We offer programs for 3 to 17.

We offer programs for kids every Saturday from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.  Ask one of our friendly door greeters and they will get you to the appropriate classrooms.

We also offer two amazing developmental programs for children and youth (Adventurers, Pathfinders).

Do you ever meet during the week?

Every Wednesday evening we meet at 6:30 p.m. for singing, prayer, and Bible study. We also have Life Groups at various locations in the Bakersfield area. We meet in groups of 8-16 people to connect and to study the Bible.
